What is Chaga?
Chaga is is a parasitic fungus, it infects birch trees in the hardwood forests of the Northern hemisphere, and thrives in colder climates. It is slow growing, taking 3-5 years to fully form. It is rock hard and mostly black in color, due to an extremely high concentration of melanin.
Chaga has been traditionally used as anti-cancer medicine, improving immune responses in the body, it contains powerful anti-oxidants, and antiviral compounds. It is also an adaptogen, helps to reduce oxidative stress on the body. An excellent health tonic and detoxifier.
How to brew chaga?
There are different ways to brew chaga, depending on individual needs. We provide the most common way:
Add 2 teaspoons of chaga powder to 150ml hot boiled water and leave it overnight. In the morning, warm it up on low heat until it boils, turn off the heat and wait 5 minutes. For the best effect have 1 table spoon of the extract 3 times a day, adding to water or your favorite tea or coffee. The same powder can be boiled few times until the liquid lose its color.
